The Team members from Sarvajanik University, Ganpat University, Charutar Vidya Mandal University, and DYPCET Kolhapur arrived at the Rectorate of Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena (UPCT) at 9:45 am, after which we were escorted by Mr. Rafael Hernández Arnaiz, Manager International Relations and Mobility, UPCT, to the Rector’s Meeting Room. Therein, we indulged in interaction, exchange of souvenirs, and finally photo sessions with the UPCT Rector Mrs. Beatriz Miguel Hernández, Vice Rector of Internationalization & UPCT Mr. Rafael Toledo Moreo, Deputy Director of International Relations & Mobility of the ETSII, UPCT Mr. Joaquín Francisco Roca González, Ms. Paqui Rosique, and Mr. Rafael Hernández Arnaiz.

This was followed by a joint photo session with the UPCT team, our delegation, as well as international delegates representing RTU, Latvia and Darmstadt University, Germany. This moment was recorded by UPCT on their official Twitter (X) profile: https://twitter.com/UPCToficial/status/1713872653746921764).

Following the photo session, the team was led on a guided tour by Mr. Rafael Toledo Moreo, Mr. Joaquín Francisco Roca González, Ms. Paqui Rosique, and Mr. Rafael Hernández Arnaiz to the eUT+ International Centre, where our team was allotted a dedicated lab in the Digital Content Production Center for the upcoming weeks of on-campus Research, Workshops and Curriculum Development, apart from the off-campus Mobility Training and Meetings.

The team was then addressed by Mr. Joaquín Francisco Roca González, wherein we were asked to split into teams and focus on research towards inclusive, equitable and sustainable curriculum development, as well as propose a teaching curriculum for the same, based on the data collected by UPCT and duly shared with us. After initial discussions within the team, we decided to define three teams from within our delegation and develop focus areas for Research, Curriculum Development and Design of the Program Proposal.

Post this initial session, the team was taken on a city sightseeing and exploratory excursion by Ms. Paqui Rosique and Mr. Rafael Hernández Arnaiz, wherein we were also informed of important centres in the city depicting cultural rootedness, change in the perception of Architecture and Urban Design in the city, as well as those that may be useful in realising the project.

It was an eventful day with a number of discussions as well as instructions for the next phase of the Mobility Training – to meet Mr. Rafael Hernández Arnaiz at 7:30 am at the Rectorate on October 17, 2023, for the first mobility to facilities set up by Aidemar in San Javier.
